Here are the persons who were on Jean-du-Sud’s crew in 2023 (besides Southy Pier).
Marie A. was on Jean-du-Sud‘s crew on a trip between Montréal and Québec as first mate. She participated in docking manoeuvers, did estimated positions, participated in anchoring manoeuvers and steered the boat roughly a third of the time. She has her Sail Canada intermediary sailboat license, did several boat deliveries, and evaluates how to find a job tied to sailing.
Edith D. knows a lot about rocks and tips. She was on Jean-du-Sud’s trip from Montréal to Québec as a crew. She participated in docking manoeuvers and was at the helm roughly one third of the time.
Wilfrid M. is an RYA Yachmaster Offshore and has more than 7000 nautical miles run. He did several boat deliveries and one Atlantic Crossing. Wilfrid was on Jean-du-Sud’s first trip of the season, where most onboard systems were tested.
Mélanie B. has her elementary sailing license from Sail Canada de Voile Canada. She participated in Jean-du-Sud’s second cruise of the season to test onboard systems (and would certainly do more). The cruise was of 15 nm and lasted three hours. She participated in jibes and tacks manoeuvers.
